The all-new 2019 Dodge Durango is slated to be released this fall. The three-row SUV may be ideal for transporting your family, but it certainly doesn’t look like your average family vehicle. In fact, Motor Trend says its “menacing grille” will also belong to the police force upon its release.
Steve Beahm, head of FCA’s passenger car brands in North America, also comments that “the Durango is our three-row Charger of the SUV segment.”
The Dodge SUV has five trim levels: SXT, GT, Citadel, R/T, and SRT. The base engine starts at a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and goes up to a 6.4-liter V8. The highest levels generate up to 475 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. You can also tow up to 8,700 lb in the highest trim. This year’s model has added a trailer-brake controller when equipped with the towing package for all trim levels.
It comes equipped with a seven-inch touchscreen, which can be upped to an 8.4-inch display with navigation. Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™ support come equipped in each model. Across all trim levels, the option for blind spot monitoring with rear cross path detection is available.
Three new exterior colors include F8 Green, Destroyer Gray, and Reactor Blue.
