Let’s start with the engine. The 2019 RAM 1500 delivers significant gains in fuel efficiency with a new eTorque mild hybrid system on second generation 3.6-liter Pentastar® V6 and 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 engines. This system adds a 48-volt battery pack to enable quick and seamless start/stop function that improves responsiveness and efficiency. This is the widest use of mild hybrid technology in the segment!
There are numerous changes to the design and structure of the RAM 1500. It is now 225 pounds lighter and offers a maximum payload of 2,300 pounds. The next-generation, class-exclusive air suspension enhances fuel efficiency, improves ride quality, and gives greater off-road capability, load-leveling, and entry/exit convenience.
The 2019 RAM 1500 now leads the pickup world with in-cabin technology. The award-winning fourth-generation Uconnect® system and class-exclusive, 12-inch reconfigurable touchscreen display features split-screen capability for dual-application operation. The 360-degree surround view camera with a bird’s-eye perspective of the vehicle makes parking and trailer hookups a breeze.
